Summary
MotionRecord is an offline app. All sensor and tour data stays on your device – we send no app data to servers. This website uses technically necessary cookies as well as Google Analytics 4 only after your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

MotionRecord was developed according to the “Privacy by Design" principle:
- All sensor data (lean angle, IMU, GPS) stays exclusively on your device
- No registration or account required
- No analytics or tracking tools in the app
- No advertising, no sharing with third parties
- On this website, Google Analytics 4 is activated only after your consent

On your first visit to this website, a cookie banner appears. You can decide for yourself whether to allow only technically necessary cookies or also analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4).

4. Google Analytics 4
4.1 Description and scope
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (or for users in the EU: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). GA4 enables us to statistically evaluate the use of this website in order to improve our offering.
On this website, Google Analytics 4 is activated only after your explicit consent via the cookie banner (Consent Mode v2). Without consent, no analytics data is collected.
4.2 Data processed
When Google Analytics 4 is active, the following data is processed:
- Truncated IP address (IP anonymization is enabled by default)
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referrer URL (where you came to the page from)
- Device information (browser, operating system, screen resolution)
- Approximate location (country/region, no precise position)
4.3 Legal basis
The legal basis for the processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (see section 4.5).
4.4 Data transfer to the USA
Google LLC is based in the USA. The transfer of data to the USA is carried out on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR as well as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4.5 Withdraw consent / opt-out
You have the following options to prevent analysis by Google Analytics 4:
- Cookie settings: Click “Necessary only" in the cookie banner or delete the cookie

- Do Not Track: If your browser sends “Do Not Track", Google Analytics 4 will not be activated.
Note: Google Analytics 4 is not yet active on this website. As soon as the integration takes place, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly and the cookie banner adjusted.
5. Data processing in the app
5.1 Sensor data (IMU, GPS, barometer)
The app captures sensor data from your smartphone (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, barometer, GPS) exclusively locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to servers.
5.2 Export files
You can export your tour data in various formats (CSV, GPX, JSON, KML, FIT, NMEA). These files remain on your device and are only shared upon your explicit action.
5.3 App settings
Settings such as layout preferences are stored locally in the app settings (UserDefaults / SharedPreferences).
6. Website hosting
This website is hosted via Manus. When the website is accessed, server log files are created for technical reasons, containing the IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and browser type. This data is used exclusively to ensure the technical operation of the website and is deleted after no later than 7 days.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website).
7. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access (Art. 15 GDPR): What data we have stored about you
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): Correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): Uninstalling the app completely deletes all local data
- Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR): Consent to Google Analytics can be withdrawn at any time (see section 4.5)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Objection to processing based on legitimate interests
